Mya

Mya discovered yoga at the age of 40. A dedicated runner, she was introduced to hot yoga through her sister’s enthusiastic recommendation. Her first class was challenging, intense, hot, and transformative. She was immediately hooked. When her teacher said yoga was a daily practice, Mya took it to heart and has practiced almost every day since.

Ten years later, Mya earned her 200-hour RYT certification in 2015. After relocating from California to Utah in 2017, she founded Suvita Hot Yoga with the vision of creating a space for yogis who share her passion for the intensity and heat of hot yoga.

That vision quickly blossomed into a thriving community, a collective of teachers, staff, and students united not only by their love of hot yoga but also by a deeper connection that goes beyond the practice.

Sloan

Raised off-grid among hippies and yogis in Washington State and later here in the Salt Lake Valley, Sloan has embraced yoga throughout her life. While she always practiced, her consistent asana practice began in 2015 as part of her athlete training. Feeling a strong calling to teach, she earned her 200-hour RYT certification in 2016 and started teaching immediately.

Yoga is a daily practice for Sloan, and she is passionate about sharing the simplicity, discipline, and transformative power of yoga with everyone she meets.
