Mya
Mya didn’t find yoga until she was 40 years old. A dedicated runner, she tried hot yoga because her sister kept raving about it. Her first class was so hard, so hot, so intense and she was hooked. The teacher told her it was an everyday practice. She took it literally and has practiced almost everyday since. This was 10 years ago. She completed her 200 RYT in 2015. Moving to Utah from California in 2017, Mya opened Suvita Hot Yoga. Her hope was to build a place for yogis who love the intensity and heat like she does. Her hope was soon realized and then some. She found this group of people who love this hot yoga practice, the focus, the intensity. And it grew into a community. Teachers, staff, students. Connected only through the yoga. But somehow knowing it is more than that.
Sloan
Sloan grew up off grid with hippies and yogis in Washington State and also here in the Salt Lake Valley. She’s practiced yoga her whole life though only developed a regular asana practice as part of an athlete training plan in 2015. She felt the call to teach immediately, certified with RYT 200 in 2016 and began teaching right away. She practices yoga every day and loves to share the simplicity and discipline of yoga with everyone she can.
